Friday Hunt 2016-2.23

Friday's return means that it is time again for Teresa's fun photo meme, Friday Hunt. These are this week's clues and my interpretation...

Begins with 'W'. The first of these is WPCA, of course meaning Water Pollution Control Authority. This is the facility in our small city (19,000) of Ansonia CT, located along the Naugatuck River
Two more are: Windows, here a bank on Main Street in downtown Ansonia and tennis being played in a Wheelchair
Week's Favorite. This is a week late, buhere is the 30th year where local dentist Dr. Bruce Sofferman and his collected frozen turkeys and non-perishable food for Spooner House in Shelton. The donned pilgrim costumes to raise awareness and received collections on a driveway along a busy commuter route
Machinery. We had a tour at Emmett O'Brien Technical High School, just around the corner from our home. This is the woodworking shop and the machinery is in the background. I understand that the computer controlled machinery was programmed to make the beautiful sign that welcomes all to the shop. Nice clues as always, Teresa!

  1. What a nice week's favorite. Without computer skills a job will be hard to find!

  3. Wow, that is a very nice wood shop for the school, and they did a great job on the sign. Impressive! Even more impressive is the effort of your local dentist and his team to help others have a good meal for Thanksgiving - what a lovely thing to do for the community. Tennis in wheelchairs must be an extremely good workout - I can't imagine the quick movements needed to get to the ball, and being able to control the chair so rapidly. Amazing!

  4. A nice high school, Ralph. It was nice that they went to teaching computer aided operations. That probably busted their budget for a year. My favorite too is the fellows collecting for money to give turkeys to the less fortunate. We just look around and we find the letters we need. Harder though for the "X".
My dad was like that too, with his Fords. I am not sure how it started but I would guess they both were satisfied customers. I bought my first and second car from his dealer, Dad had to sigh until I was 21. Glad you are sticking with the Chrysler line. We almost bought a Chrysler 300 but there isn't enough vision out the back window for Mrs. Jim. She is very short. And the window is small. So we've had GM stuff since the 1990's. I worked for Ford for 17 years, New Hampshire and Texas.

  5. What unique items for W. Love the costumes for the good cause. How nice! That really is a nice job they did with the lettering. Pretty impressive machinery too. Thanks so much for joining Friday's Hunt. Hope you have a great week!
