Starts with I. Two are presented this week, but are not from this winter, thankfully. The first (L) is Inch - our daughter measured the new snow on January 12, 2011. It was 15 inches (38 cm) that day. Our daughter wielded the tape measure, happily wearing gloves...to the right, taken a couple of weeks later (Jan. 27, 2011) after yet another massive snowfall - the icicles that formed over the gutter. Pretty sky, mean, jagged icicle. Happily, the winter of 2010-2011 passed, as will this winter - even as an Arctic blast is descending on us tonight...
Week's Favorite. Patti went to a Read Across America Day event at Bungay School in neighboring Seymour CT. Here, the school's Principal performs Green Eggs and Ham with the Cat in the Hat in front of the students in the gym. She looks great, although all the moves in high heels may have been a bit uncomfortable...
Nose. This was taken by passenger Patti in 1999 on the Fort Pitt Bridge in Pittsburgh and it is me, looking at the road as my profile is captured. Note the old Three Rivers Stadium in the background. Thanks as always for the meme, Teresa!
...darn you have a handsome profile, Ralph. If your weather is like most of the country, you'll 2 or 3 seasons in a matter of days.
ReplyDeleteI like the profile picture, Ralph. Guess that would work with selfie too, just crop it right. We too have an old stadium, the Houston Astrodome, hanging around, we just made it a Historical Site.

The Cat in the Hat rocks! (Former first grade teacher here). Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun costume for the cat in the hat - maybe a bit warm. Took me a moment to find your nose with all the other interesting points in the picture! Those icicles and that snow are all too familiar around here!
ReplyDeleteA great ide for the nose shot and those icicles are huge
ReplyDeleteLove the shot of the icicles. We've not had much winter at all this year. Works well for kidding this week at least. What a great way to celebrate reading. You've got to love Dr. Seuss. What a fun shot for nose! Thanks so much for joining in Friday's Hunt!
ReplyDeleteBrrrr! Those are some serious icicles! I don't know how women do anything in high heels. Not my cup of tea! Love the mini profile on the bridge.
